As many of you may have noticed, we recently revamped I-GO’s website and reservation system. Our goal was to make it even easier to reserve one of our cars; to help accomplish this we have added a number of functions to our site- such as the ability to search for only day rate vehicles and the ability to search for a car by intersection, address or neighborhood. As with any new technology, we are working out a few minor glitches, but we are confident that you will find the new reservation system easy and convenient once you’ve used it. What do you think of the new look of our reservation system? Post below to make your questions, insights and ideas for improvement heard!

Great! Now all you need is a blackberry/mobile version or an at-car version (or I guess the blackberry version would work too, just enter the car number in front of you to reserve)
ReplyDeleteI had problems loading the new reservation page on my Mac. Safari quit unexpectedly everytime I tried to open the page. I had to use a PC at work to make the reservation.
ReplyDeleteLove the new look!! Once I get used to the new reservation system it will be so nice to search for specific cars quickly. I also like the confirmation page with all of the details.
ReplyDeleteI like the new site and the fact that you can now change your password. FINALLY! However an option to create your own username would be even better. The last thing I need is to have to memorize another login! Also whats up with not being able to have my username/PIN emailed to me if I forget them? Its a pain to have to call customer service everytime. I know its all about being secure, but when I called today, all I had to do was give my name and I got my user and PIN given to me over the phone.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the 2nd post- about trouble using the new reservation site on a Mac with Safari as the browser- you should be able to do this. Our new site is compatible with Safari, in fact I use Safari on my Mac at home and have had no trouble. Was Safari shutting down when you went to our home page (www.igocars.org) or did it let you get there but then quit when you tried to log in with your member # and pin?
ReplyDeleteWith the new system you have to click the "I agree that the following amount will be charged to my card 24 hours after use" - but what if the amount is incorrect? (for example, because of a Budget plan or a full-day reservation?
ReplyDeleteSafari Trouble...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Safari v1.3 was originally released 3 years ago and is known not to be compliant with basic web standards (and is no longer being distributed by Apple). For these reasons, we also no longer support Safari 1.x. However, since installing Safari 2 & 3 requires an operating system upgrade, we advise members to install Firefox, a free download which offers a better browsing experience than the unsupported versions of Safari.
Firefox can be obtained at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteHaving trouble with the website. Using Internet Explorer 7, so no Safari compatability issues here. When I login, I have to hit the OK button several times for the "entering secure location" pop-up. After doing there about 10 times, the reservation system appears to work until I get to the final confirmation screen. When I click on "Reserve It," nothing happens. I can try several times and nothing happens. It's completely frozen or something. I click on "Cancel" and nothing happens. I can't close the confirmation pop-up window to go back to the webpage, nor can I logout, so I end up just closing Internet Explorer and trying again, but the same thing happens. Apparently I'm the only one experiencing this problem??
ReplyDeleteIn regards to lildivas problem, I was having similar issues. To resolve the problem I went into Norton Anti Spam and shut off Pop-Up Blocking, also Ad Blocking had to be shut off. The reservation screen then works as it should for me. If you have a pop-up blocker or ad blocker this might help?
